About Us
Moldtec is a family owned machine shop that started in a small town
in Roselle Illinois. My father Jerry Raucci was a highly skilled
machinist that in the late 60`s started Belmont Mold and Die. Jerry
started building plastic injected molds and machined parts in his
basement in Chicago Illinois. In the early 70`s he rented a store
front on Cicero Ave. It was at this time Jerry started teaching his
sons the trade. He moved his shop to the western suburbs into a
larger facility in 1976. Moldtec started in 1989 when I found there
was a growing need for computer assisted machining. I purchased my
first CNC machining center (which is still running to this
day) Today we provide an experienced staff that utilizes state of
the art machining technology as well as up to date CNC equipment, to
provide the highest quality products with on-time delivery at a fair
and competitive price. Our number one goal is to achieve
total customer satisfaction by delivering the highest quality of

We can build you a prototype mold, a build a single cavity mold, or
a multiple cavity high production mold. Whether its a hot runner
system, or its a hot sprue. Three plate mold or a mold with lifters
and side actions, we can accommodate all of your mold building needs.
Moldtec specializes in Computerized Numerical Control (CNC)
machining with complex 3D contouring. We also specialize in
prototype machining, as well as the machining of plastics, steels,
aluminum, and other metals. We use a highly accurate comparator
connected to a computer to be able to accurately check the quality
of your parts. We have state of the art Hardinge machining centers
Haas high speed C.N.C machines, Matrix hard milling, high speed C.N.C
Haas C.N.C ST-10 Lathe in our CNC Department,
Manual Machining Department features Mitsui surface grinders with readouts that hold the tight tolerances, Manual lathe with digital readouts, Bridgeport knee mills with power feed and digital readouts. We have E.D.M machines for any burning needs you may have. Moldtec is equipped to handle all of your Milling, E.D.M, Grinding, Drilling, Tapping, and Engraving needs. We also do our own Heat Treating. Our Hand-Finishing/Polishing Department assures top quality burr free, machined parts. We handle short and long run production of complex parts. We also produce gages, fixtures and tooling for research and development projects while working closely with our customers to produce the highest quality part to ensuring customer satisfaction..
Engineering Department
Our Engineering Department utilizes MasterCam and Solidworks among
others, for designing and programming. Complex contouring and
surfacing is analyzed and designed using CAD/CAM capabilities and
then the code is transferred into machine to be used on our
machining centers. Moldtec engineers parts from conception to
production using the latest Computer Aided Design software. Moldtec
also draws prints from sketches which enabling the customer to
possess a print if on does not already exist. Our engineering
department has extensive background experience a wide range of
industries. We are able to transfer drawings and documents via e-mail.
Quality Department
Our Quality Control Department constantly tracks the quality of the
product from the beginning of the production process until the
product is delivered to the customer because quality is our number
one priority at Moldtec. Our goal here at Moldtec is to meet or
exceed our customer’s expectations every time and ensure customer
satisfaction by manufacturing quality products at a fair price, with
on time delivery!
